I am extremly excited to see how Paulie does this season. I have never been a big Paulie fan. Don't get me wrong, I love the character, but I was always more partial to Christopher, and even Ralphie. But reading about this season, the whole scene with Christopher in tonight's episode, and that episode description of Paulie proving he can still get down and dirty, concerning the whole Feech situation makes him a very intersting character this season. I also love that the lineup is very much that of the original crew, "Tony, Silvio, Paulie, Chrissie". Of course, Blundetto will make a big impact, and we are missing Big P, but it is almost a back to basics sort. I really enjoy the idea, that this season is going to lay down a lot of the groundwork, for the final season. Well, just a few hours now.

I love Paulie! His character totally embraces the stereotypical mob guy. I cannot wait for tonight's episode to air!!

At the beginning of the "Two Tonys" episode I thought that it would lead to a storyline pitting Paulie and Christopher at each others throats but now I see how these two will probably become uneasy allies when Tony Blundetto is released from jail. If Blundetto takes Christophers spot(blood relative who Tony trust) then I think Paulie And Christopher will both have a common enemy within the family especially if Blundetto becomes a big earner and surpasses Paulie in earning power.

Does anyone else smell a Paulie hit on Chris? Or an attempt? Maybe toward the end of the season.
I love Paulie. He's comic relief but he has no scruples, either--he killed an old lady, remember?
He was a little too nice to him after the waiter killing in
the season premiere. Paulie is a man who holds a grudge...he's probably still mad at Chrissie for ratting out the fact that he was caught sniffing Adriana's underwear to Tony. It's clear he thinks Christopher is weak by getting hooked on H. For that same reason (the grudge thing) another way to develop the Paulie character is to make him the man behind the stable arson, not Ralphie. The fact that Ralphie looked guilty is all the better...Paulie was probably still mad about the phone call Ciforetto made to his ma in the nursing home.
Michael Imperioli is a writer too so it's not like he'd be out of a Sopranos job.
Just thinking

A hit on Chrissy by Paulie is always a possibility especially if Tony becomes aware of Ade talking to the feds. if the decision is made to get rid of Ade and Chris is not agreeable with this decision then I can see Tony giving Paulie the OK to whack Chris. If Chris has a relapse with his addiction the outcome could be the same now that Tony Blundetto is in the picture and Tony will have another blood relative to rely on.

well i truly think paulie meant his apology towards chris.....you gotta remember that paulie is closest to Christopher...but how long their friendship will last is another thing. Paulie and chris have great chemistry together and I think david chase realizes that. I am very reluctant to think that chris could get whacked...let alone by paulie.....I like the idea that these two stick together in their screentime.
IT MAKES GREAT TELEVISION!
