I have rewatched, "All Happy Families" and I have no caught any reference to Tony's friend being Dr. Fried, or the penis implant doctor from Season Two and Three. As I have seen they haven't said his name once in the episode. Maybe I just don't want more recasting, but I think that this might be someone else.
Does Anyone Know of The Anna Karina (misspelling) quote that the title is supposed to be from? I am wondering if this is Jean Luc Goddard's first wife, who was in "Alphaville", "Band Of Outsiders", and other Goddard films. Does anyone know if this is the case?

I think you're confusing the actress Anna Karina (http://imdb.com/name/nm0439344/) with the Tolstoy novel Anna Karenina, which has the famous first line, "All happy families are alike, but an unhappy family is unhappy in its own way."

The "original" Dr. Fried was Lewis J. Stadlen, and the new Dr. Fried was John Pleshette (who played Lee Harvey Oswald in a TV movie years ago, I think). Maybe they were filming this episode when Stadlen was appearing on Broadway in "The Producers." The Sopranos waits for no one, although we have to wait for each new season...

Although I could tell the difference between the two, I thought itwas a better recast than Barbara...
