Instead of sending him back to prison, I wish Tony would have had him whacked. Anyone agree? And why do you think Tony didn't kill Feech? Is it because as he said Feech is well liked and he didn't want to cause any animosity among the ranks?

I think that is exactly why he did it. They did cut back the the guys laughing at Tony's joke during the card game.

The last thing they need is another dead body... I was actually glad they didn't, it would have been too "text-book"... Tony had to get rid of him, beucase Feech didn't fear him...

I think that the cut back to him telling the joke and Feech being the only one not laughing is exactly why Tony didn't whack him. Remember, Carm was yelling at Tony saying he has no friends... everyone laughs at his jokes because they fear him, not because they liked him... I believe this, along with how Feech says Tony is still a kid to him, is why Tony didn't want to whack him.

I agree with Rightfielder...you see the way Feech gave Tony so much "backtalk" when Tony called him in for the sit down?...He didn't fear Tony, nor did he respect him. Getting his little digs in by calling him "the Godfather" in that derisive tone...Tony knew this. He also knew that Feech would continue to cause trouble if he hung around.

I think this was much better than having him whacked. It showed a good strategy on Tony's part. It would bring too much attention to things if Feech turned up dead.

Setting up Feech to 'hide' the swag was excellent show of Tony's power over his turf without the mess of killing him. Tony made an example of Feech to the others in his crew, that if cross him, he will make you suffer. Going back to jail on a parole violation was a better way of making Feech suffer rather than just kill him. Now he will be in jail until he dies. I wonder if Tony had some pull or had someone 'drop a dime' to the parole office to have Feech 'visited' and not by his expected officer. Loved how got caught red-handed with one of the plasma screens in his living room. Loved the scenes of him on the bus going down Rt. 17 in Saddle Brook/Maywood/Lodi, not talking. By the way, Feech's apartment was filmed in Lodi, NJ, just off Main Ave. and Rt 46. Too bad he is out of the series, but he served his function in the storyline.

Without a doubt, Feech got the hell on Tony's nerves. Tony learned from his earlier experience with Richie Aprile to "take care of business" with Feech before he (Feech) became even more unruly/undermining. T. accomplished this by the set-up and subsequent removal. At the same time, Tony is a traditionalist, and I imagine chose to defer to a norm of not whacking a made man, unless the situation absolutely calls for it. Also, Tony respects his elders...even though they may be jerks and/or fools....

I suspect word will come back to Tony later in the season that Feech has died in prison - either naturally or from being beaten to death by an inmate.
