I remember reading a preview of this season

I can say it now because this episode is done. But before the season started I remember reading a review of this season and the reviewer openly gave out a minor spoiler saying a "well established" character gets whacked in episode 4. I don't consider Lorraine and Jason well established. That just got me all excited to watch this episode after reading that minor spoiler. I was just expecting someone more established than those two.

Yes, Silvio....me too. I caught drift of a major character being taken down in Episode 4. Although Lorraine and Jason (aka "the love of my life") were not major characters, they were, in fact, definitely whacked...no doubt about it. Whereas Feech, an emergent major character, was "removed" as opposed to being whacked. Possibly, the spoiler-leak of a removal became morphed into a whacking....
