Tonight's episode got me thinking. The marketing for this season is really spot on. The characters really do seem to be headed toward a descent into a figurative hell. The first thing I noticed this season were the unusual number of references to the bible. The Apostle protection program bit, the jokes about Christ, etc.
In the first episode of the season, Melfi does to Tony what she has (according to her) never done before: she judges him. And in tonight's episode, when Tony and Carm talk about AJ, T mentions how when Meadow turned fifteen, it was like watching an angel fall. Interesting stuff, no?
