That guy just took over my spot as my favorite Soprano character! HE's the type of guy that does whatever you tell him to without any questions or hesitations.
I look forward to seeing more than him this season and hopefully next!

I agree that was a very intense scene. Frank Vincent was born to play these kind of roles.

Hey, this character get mad props from me just because he's played by Frank Vincent. I just KNEW they HAD to have him on this series as a hitman-type character before it wrapped! Given how many other gangster-movie veterans are on the show--Michael Imperioli (Goodfellas, Last Man Standing), Dominic Chianese (The Godfather Part II), Ray Abruzzo (Little Carmine, previously in Casino), Steve Buscemi (Reservoir Dogs), Lorraine Bracco (Goodfellas), Robert Loggia (Scarface), and whoever the actress is who plays Carmela's mother (she was Lorraine Bracco's character's mother in Goodfellas)--they really couldn't leave good ol' Frank out.

Frank Vincent is the epitome of what I think of when I imagine an actor portraying a gangster on film. Frank Vincent is far and away one of the best in this genre, the way he delivers his lines and the menacing and commanding presence is what really makes him interesting to watch. Frank Vincent should have been on the Sopranos a long time ago but now that he is on the show hopefully his character is around to the end of the six season.

Frank actually played a 'softer' side in Gotti. He was the non violent but big earning Gambino Capo Robert 'DiBi' DiBernardo.

Amen to that. I just watched Casino. All he had to do was just raise his finger (in the scene where he and Pesci muscled a bookie) and he still was scary as hell. I heard in an interview that a lot guys who see him, send their wives to talk with Frank and ask for autographs, because they are too scared of him to ask themselves.

Alright lets not get too carried away... The guy is a cool actor as far as mob movies are concerned; lets leave it at that.

What has yet to be mentioned is that on the HBO website Phil Leotardo's bio says that he is believed to have twenty-seven hits to his credit. How many more hits will he add to his total before the season is over. If thats any indication of things to come then its going to be a season littered with bodies.

I think a large part of Frank Vincent's gangster aura comes from his looks. With that sharp, hooked beak of a nose, the stark white hair, the sharp, dark eyebrows and the burning black eyes, the guy just LOOKS friggin' scary. Add to that his guttural voice and the aura of steely menace he projects, and you've got a classic gangster-movie character.
