Raymond seems to be in it for the money and benefits of being a rat.

Is business that bad for him in the mob that he needs money from the FBI?

ray has a son with MS (multiple sclerois (sp?))..we've know that from season 1 when he used as an excuse not to step up as boss when jackie sr. died. he also mentioned it in this episode. and just like pussy, he probably has to work at a subsistence level so he doesn't make the much now likely (although more than pussy b/c he has been giving more info that Pussy did or at least seems more cooperative).

Curto is also a CAPO, so he makes more than the usual made guy...

I really hope this guy gets clipped. I am just hoping they are showing him talking with the Feds so much so that it will be a nice storyline when he does finally get whacked. I hate all these snitches right now.

I still don't quite understand how Curto's been subsisting as both a mafia capo and an FBI informant for 5 years or more. I mean, if he's been giving out a lot of information to the Feds, wouldn't you expect more people to be in jail by this point? And if he's not been giving out a lot of information, stringing the Feds along, wouldn't the Feds have gone ahead with the criminal proceedings? I'm not sure how realistic this all is... of course, Gravano was a rat for a long time, I guess... anybody know how long?

do you think it's possible that Curto's playing both sides of the fence? Agent Grasso mentioned that Curto couldn't get them a making ceremony, yet he was present at Chris' in Season three. Unless of course, there was so much bonding and hugging that it would've been too risky to wear one.

Wasn`t that Raymond who was arrested at the whore house with the cop that worked for tony and owed Pussy the 30 large?

Maybe that`s when they got to Raymond. And maybe they`ll flashback on this telling us the full story!

When Bobby was the Santa Clause they were talking about Big P being the old santa and how he was a rat and Raymond said "selling it your friends to save your own ass, it's despicable". I wonder if he was a rat at the time?

Yeah he was, that was mid season 3 and Curto wore a wire to Livia's wake beginning of season 3...

I don`t know but I think it was when they busted him at the whore house. They maybe already had something on him by then and that was just the last straw. Anyway if he was a snitch way back then they would have brought that up when they found out Pussy was "composte" instead of tapping the lamp.

I honestly don't think that Ray Curto is a traditional rat, a la Big Pussy. He mentions to Agent Grasso that he wants a raise to pay for his kid's medical condition. A rat like Big Pussy wasn't being paid for information, he was giving it in exchange for a lighter sentence. So maybe Ray is concerned for his kid with M.S., and is just being an informant for who knows why.

It's pretty realistic. Here in Boston, Whitey Bulger had cooperated with the FBI for many years while heading a criminal organization. Up until 9/11, he was the most wanted man in America. Anyway, he would give out bits and pieces about rival families, and sometimes small insignificant factions of his own organization. He then manipulated the agent assigned to him and flipped him. Now Connolly (agent) is being tried and noone can find Whitey, although its rumored he never left and occasionally makes a call from a certain payphone in Southie. So I guess it would be possible to work with the FBI yet not give up anything big but not get tried yourself. lol Ive read a few books on organized crime and thought it was cool that a little corner store I used to always get my quarter waters and ice cream sandwiches at as a lil kid was a major money dropoff point for mobs in the Boston area...all during the time when I actually went to this store.

They're also going after Tony Soprano! They want the big canolli. So I'm sure they're holding all of their evidence until after they put Tony away, then they will pursue the smaller stuff. The FBI isn't going anywhere, they can hold onto it for as long as it takes. Just my $.02

If you people remember toward the end of Pussy's snitching days, he was SO into it.. He was tailing Tony and Christopher and trying to eavesdrop on any conversation he could. Even got in a car accident as a result.

"Rat Pack" has Adrianna being told that shes with the good guys now.. Ade is starting to realize all the bad bad stuff that goes on with Christopher's "Business". I think Pussy, an old-timer with a family and kids realized that his time was coming to an end in this life and was trying to make amends. Just an opinion.

BTW, I'm new to this whole forum, and you folks are AMAZING on the stuff you pick up on. How in the heck did ANYONE make a connection between Tony B's missing daughter and the goth girl coming out of Melfi's office?!?! Here I thought I was perceptive. You got me beat!
